What was the highlight of Hotel Royal Riva del Garda

Lovely hotel near the lake.

We loved the friendly staff on reception. They were very helpful and also told us about the fireworks display in town that night - which was really great to know about! Rooms were comfortable , if a little dated, but that doesn’t really impact the quality of the stay. Breakfast had a huge selection and the Prosecco was a welcome addition. They were very welcoming of our dog, too, who also had a lovely time! It was probably a 15/20 minute walk into Riva, but only 5 to get to the Lake itself.

Nothing, would absolutely stay again.

Wellness in the other building (ab. 200m from the hotel), but it's better than not to have this option at all.

Good

Very friendly staff, exceptional breakfast, external pool with loungers and umbrellas, and free parking. The wellness center in nearby hotel with a free access for hotel Royal guests (but we did not use it). The location is good, just a few minutes walk to the beach.

Wifi speed is very slow, and the equipment is little wear out. There is an central air condition, with was noisy, so we had to turn it off during night.

Wonderful

Great hotel and a Great stay. Hotel has everything you need to have a Great time near lake garda. Hotel provides additional parking, so there is enough space for everyone. The room is quite modern compering to italian standard. The staff is very helpful. You can reach public beach by 6 min walk. In my opinion the outdoor pool has an excellent italian style with beautiful sculptures and plants. But let me tell you- the best part is the breakfest. If you have a chance try a tiramisu :)

Most of the guests are Germans so you have to keep in mind that there is a specific vibe in the hotel Also if you would like to go to a supermarket you need to prepare yourself for a 10-15 min walk

Ok for a budget short stay definitely not for a week holiday

Good location. Lots of parking. Staff were nice. Can't comment on food as we didn't eat there. Good water pressure.

We got a twin room although booked a double. The pool area could definitely do with some improvement. The brick floor full of weeds and dirty, the sun loungers had cushions on that were really dirty and pool was dirty around edges. Balcony quite dirty and had some very make shift privacy screens/separators. Metal chairs and table that got really hot in the sun. Bathroom was very dark like a cell and very messily painted. They provided robes and Slippers but like the random dining chairs downstairs with massive bows on the back just felt like a failed attempt to make a medioka hotel luxury. Very ok for a budget one night stay but certainly would be very disappointed if I booked for a week plus holiday.

A nice place to stay, close to the lake

Great location, very close to the lake and 15 min walking from Riva center. Nice room, good breakfast, friendly and helpful staff.

The shower head was a bit wonky and the airco wasn't working properly. But it didn't bother us too much to mention it to the staff.

We had a fantastic time at hotel royal

We absolutely could not fault the staff at all! They were so helpful and made our stay very special! My husband had sent a message before we went to advise them of our anniversary and my birthday and we were surprised with rose petals and a towel heart in the room and a cake and Prosecco at breakfast! Truly service with a smile they were always happy to help and made us feel taken care of!

The bed and cushions were a bit hard and uncomfortable. The sink also kept blocking and the shower head wouldn’t stay still.

Wonderful

We had a good time at Hotel Royal. The bed was comfortable, the pool was nice and the breakfast had a wide variety of foods. The staff was also really kind and helpful.

The hotel is a bit outdated but you can see that in the photos so it wasn't a surprise :)

Nice hotel

Room was clean and comfortable with a little balcony to sit on. Breakfast was very good, with plenty of choice. Didn't use the pool but it looked nice, with lots of sun loungers. Reception staff were really friendly and helpful.

Parking was a bit limited. We arrived at 4pm and took one of the last places.

Very Good

Breakfast was fine, nice evening bar. Good location. Wonderfull staff. Parking in hotel area or close just behind neibourgh hotel.

The hotel is little older, it can be seen everywhere on furniture, walls etc. But it was clean and nice. Hotel has no own restaurant. Pitty it was not possible evening swimming in pool.
